Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 18 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse required in an acute care setting at a healthcare provider. The position involves caring for adult patients with diverse needs, including trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. The role requires providing specialized care in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on patient safety and clinical excellence. Job Details Location: ICU, Acute care setting Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum 2 years of ICU experience; valid license to submit; location within 50 miles of the facility; Driver's license required at submittal. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilators (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.), reading/interpretation of strips, and patient titration of cardiac drips (such as insulin, sedation, cardiac medications). Responsibilities: Care for adult ICU patients with complex medical conditions Titrate set rate drips and monitor patient vitals and clinical status Read and interpret monitors and strips, with oversight from telemetry techs Assist with nasal cannula to vent troubleshooting as needed Collaborate with healthcare support techs and nurse aides, based on census and patient acuity Complete one shift of unit-specific orientation, with additional RTO (Return to Office) requests limited to 7 days or less upfront Schedule: 12-hour dayshift, 0630-1830 or 1830-0630, self-scheduling available for core staff, weekend rotation every other week, and a minimum of two holiday shifts within the contract timeframe Additional Information: Candidates must not be on full-time or PRN status with any facility associated with the organization, including any associated systems. Artificial nails are prohibited. Pass/fail exam during orientation with a 90% passing requirement. Blocked scheduling and duo schedules are not approved unless for weekends only.
