Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) -26/27

We are seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to support a student in a school-based setting. This role provides the opportunity to deliver meaningful, one-on-one support in a collaborative general education classroom environment.

Position Overview
Start Date: 26/27 NSY
Hours: 30 hours per week
Schedule: 7:50 AM - 2:15 PM
Student Assignment: 1:1 with a 4th grade student in a general education classroom
Pay Rate: $35-$40 per hour

Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation in a general education setting
Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers
Support the student's access to curriculum and classroom participation
Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective communication strategies
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Requirements
EIPA score of 4.0 or higher required, or ASL fluent paraprofessional
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a 1:1 setting
Must be comfortable working onsite
