Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in DC required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing assignment experience required
• Experience in PACU, post-operative recovery, or acute care nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a team-based healthcare environment
• Ability to work scheduled day shifts and maintain excellent attendance
• Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must be prepared to meet facility compliance requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate recovery care to patients following surgical and procedural interventions
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and post-anesthesia recovery progress
• Assess patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly to the appropriate care team
• Administer medications and support interventions according to established nursing protocols and provider orders
• Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and post-procedure instructions
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with interdisciplinary team members
• Support smooth patient flow in a collaborative PACU and acute care environment
