Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a systemic thinker who does not just treat individuals in isolation. The ideal candidate brings couples and family training in Gottman Method or EFT and experience providing family therapy with adolescents or adult families. You understand that the relational system is often where the healing happens, and you know how to work in it. Beyond clinical skill, we want someone who is direct, self-aware, and genuinely invested in being part of a team. You can hold space for families navigating intense emotions while maintaining strong, clear boundaries. You are affirming of all people and all family structures, without exception. And you are someone who sees ongoing learning not as a requirement, but as part of who you are as a clinician. Active Maryland licensure in a counseling field is required. Additional licensure in DC or Virginia is a plus. What You Will Do Provide family and couples therapy grounded in systemic frameworks, including but not limited to Gottman Method, EFT, DBT, and CBT. Conduct thorough clinical assessments and orient clients and families to the scope and structure of therapeutic work. Maintain timely, well-written clinical documentation and keep client records current. Participate in weekly team meetings, because we work together and that time matters. Consult with other members of a client's care team, whether internal to MCCC or external, as part of our commitment to collaborative care. Uphold the ethical standards of your profession and maintain licensure in accordance with state regulations. Engage in continuing education, not just to meet requirements, but because growth is part of the work here. Caseload Clinicians at MCCC currently carry an average caseload of 18 clients, with a goal of building to 22-25 as you settle into the role. We grow caseloads intentionally, not overnight. Supervision and Support We invest in our clinicians at every level. Graduate-level clinicians (LG) receive required weekly individual supervision with our clinical director throughout their employment until they reach full licensure. This is not just a checkbox, it's part of how we develop people. *If you hold an LGMFT, you would work with Laura and not Sara Fully licensed clinicians (LC) meet with the clinical director at least monthly for the first three months, with supervision continuing monthly or as needed based on mutual preference and clinical need. Pay Structure & Benefits MCCC clinicians are W-2 employees. Every clinician starts on hourly pay ($95+/session) for their first 90 days while building a case load. After that, you can choose to move to salary for more predictability and PTO, or stay hourly if that works better for you. We can revisit this choice anytime. All employees are eligible for health insurance on Day 1. We offer FSA and DCFSA. Every full time clinician gets $500 in CEU reimbursement annually. After 1 year, employees are eligible for 401(k) with employer match. Where You'll Work Our Rockville office was built to feel like a living room, not a waiting room. We combine in-person care with telehealth in a hybrid model that supports both great client care and a sustainable schedule for our team.
