Clerk, Part-time (Library)

Clerk – PT (Library) – Chango Elementary School 4 hrs/day, 10 months/year. Shenendehowa Central School District seeks culturally proficient individuals who actively foster an engaging environment where students can develop confidence in their own success consistent with the Shenendehowa Profiles. Responsibilities: Providing help to and supervision of students using the library; Digital cataloging, scanning, tracking and recordkeeping of incoming and outgoing books and materials; Preparing requisitions and purchase orders, pocketing and shelving of books and materials; Tracking overdue items, printing overdue materials list, sending notices to students, faculty, and staff; Preparing correspondence and announcements; Facilitating school book exchange with staff and students; Processing requests and requesting materials from other libraries, in‑district and out of district; Collecting class project materials and additional responsibilities as required. Compensation & Benefits Step 1 ($20.12/hr) – Step 7 ($26.64/hr) Collective Bargaining Agreement – CSEA. Certifications/Qualifications Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and two (2) years clerical office experience with an aptitude for learning new technology. Ability to embrace change, establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibits good judgment, mental alertness, tact and courtesy. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite required. Physical condition commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
