Cabinetry Laminate Fabricator & Millwork Surface Finisher

Full-Time | Immediate Opening

At Breakthrough Productions, we build one-of-a-kind cabinetry, countertops, displays, exhibits, and experiential installations . Every piece that leaves finishing represents our promise to clients. We’re looking for a finisher/laminator who treats every edge and surface as a signature.

The Challenge

Our projects change constantly. One week, it’s a set of custom cabinets; the next, a tradeshow exhibit or branded retail display. In this role, you’ll bring order to variety—delivering consistent, professional HPL results across changing formats and timelines.

Your Mission

• Apply High-Pressure Laminate (HPL)—such as Wilsonart or Formica —to cabinets, countertops, panels, and custom components
• Prepare substrates thoroughly to ensure adhesion and finish quality
• Cut, apply, trim, route, file, and finish laminate with precision
• Create consistent seams, crisp corners, and clean edges
• Translate shop drawings and measurements into exact builds
• Patch, fill, sand, and prep components for finishing
• Apply finishes using primarily latex and acrylic coatings
• Inspect every piece before it moves to final assembly
• Collaborate with fabrication and production to keep schedules on track
• Identify potential finishing or fabrication issues early
• Maintain a tidy, organized, and efficient finishing space
• Support solid-surface fabrication when applicable

Important: This is traditional cabinet/countertop laminating— not carbon fiber, fiberglass, or composite-material lamination.

What Sets You Apart

• 3+ years in cabinet fabrication/finishing, countertop fabrication, or related trade
• Hands-on experience with architectural HPL (Wilsonart, Formica, or comparable)
• Competence with contact adhesive and industry-standard laminate techniques
• Confidence using laminate trimmers, routers, files, sanders, and common woodworking tools
• Expertise in surface preparation and finishing best practices
• Portfolio-worthy, professional-quality results
• Ability to read measurements and basic shop drawings
• Detail orientation, independence, and team collaboration

Plus: Experience with Corian or other solid-surface materials (not required).
