Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00/hr, with quick advancement opportunities

Available Shift:

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
2nd Shift Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm – 2:00 am

Job Description

Snelling has an immediate opening for a Machinist with an established company in the Louisville, KY area.
This position will work with manual lathes, vertical lathes, mills, surface grinders, and CNC mill/lathe programming to machine and fabricate precision components to spec. The ideal candidate can work independently, reads blueprints fluently, and brings a proactive, problem-solving attitude to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties

Machine and fabricate components and tooling to exact specifications
Operate a variety of manual and CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders
Program and run CNC mills and lathes
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Inspect finished parts for conformance to industry and OEM standards
Support fabrication and custom tooling projects as needed

Machinist Requirements

Proven experience operating both manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, surface grinders)
Ability to program CNC mills and lathes
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Precision measurement and inspection skills (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
