About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) supporting 24/7 operations including holidays and weekends. No call required. Schedule flexibility is required; no block scheduling available.

Highlights:

• Join a state-of-the-art cardiovascular operating room specializing in complex cardiac, vascular, and transplant procedures
• Diverse case mix including CABG, valve replacements, heart and lung transplants, aortic aneurysm repairs, TAVR, TEVAR, EVAR, and endovascular interventions
• 7-bed/7-room unit focusing on heart and vascular surgical care with hybrid OR capabilities
• Work with advanced technology including Da Vinci robotics, ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and comprehensive endovascular equipment
• Level I Trauma facility providing critical cardiovascular care to adult and geriatric populations
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of overall OR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of dedicated cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience required
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR scrub experience required (hard requirement)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Scrub experience in cardiac and vascular cases is mandatory
• Experience with heart and lung transplants, coronary artery bypass grafts, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, mitral valve replacement, ventricular assist devices, endovascular aneurysm repair, and TEVAR procedures required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Graduation from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
• Must be flexible with scheduling and available for weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor

Additional Information:

Compliance Requirements: Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date. Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing. Candidates unresponsive to credentialing requirements risk assignment cancellation.

Vaccination Requirements: Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required.

Parking: Monthly and annual parking permits available; costs range from approximately $196-$750 depending on permit type and location selected.

Eligibility: Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6 months or more. Current employees are not eligible for travel positions.
