Clinical Research Coordinator (Psychiatry/CNS)

Location: Fairfax, VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Setting: Outpatient Psychiatry / CNS Research Setting

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator to join a fast-paced outpatient psychiatry and CNS research environment in Fairfax, VA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced leadership team supporting high-volume clinical trials focused on advancing mental health research and patient care.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, clinical research experience, and the ability to build rapport with adolescent and adult patients in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee daily clinical trial activities, including patient recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and follow-up
• Ensure study compliance with FDA regulations, ICH GCP guidelines, HIPAA standards, and study protocols
• Collect and document clinical data accurately within EMR systems
• Perform patient monitoring procedures, including vital signs and phlebotomy
• Maintain detailed study records, regulatory documentation, and data management logs
• Collaborate closely with physicians, investigators, research staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Assist with regulatory submissions and study start-up processes
• Support high-volume research operations within a fast-paced outpatient setting
• Build strong patient relationships and provide a warm, welcoming experience for psychiatric patients

Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of Clinical Research Coordinator experience required
• Experience within Psychiatry, CNS, or related clinical research settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial operations and regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with FDA regulations, ICH GCP guidelines, HIPAA, and EMR systems
• Experience with phlebotomy, patient monitoring, and clinical documentation
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment
• GCP Certification preferred

Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Experience managing high-volume clinical trials
• Knowledge of CDISC standards and clinical data management processes
• Strong patient rapport-building and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative research environment
