Schedule/Hours:

• Variable shifts, including some weekends and holidays as needed
• Full-time, contract position

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of one year of recent PACU or critical care experience strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Strong assessment and monitoring skills
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergent situations
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients post-anesthesia for stability and signs of complications
• Manage pain control, vital signs, and fluid/electrolyte balance
• Communicate with surgical team members regarding patient status and needs
• Provide support, education, and reassurance to patients and families throughout recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols at all times
• Respond promptly to emergencies using critical care skills
