Pharmacist Position

A 250-bed community hospital located in the Kansas City, MO suburbs is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a contract position starting ASAP. This role is an excellent opportunity for retail pharmacists looking to expand their clinical skills in a hospital environment. Both local candidates and travelers are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Utilize pharmacokinetics principles to optimize drug therapy
Consult regularly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
Utilize Meditech and Pyxis systems for efficient medication management

Schedule & Location:

Monday through Friday
7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Based in the Kansas City, MO suburbs

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current Missouri pharmacist license required
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis systems strongly desired
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with clinical teams

This 26-week+ contract offers a unique learning environment to develop hospital pharmacy expertise while contributing to quality patient care. Flexible for local hires or pharmacists open to travel.
