ProSearch is seeking a Product Specialist near Augusta, Maine to support a complex enterprise software application through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), application support, defect tracking, SharePoint documentation, Jira ticket management, quality assurance, and product enhancement activities. The successful candidate will help ensure the reliability, functionality, and quality of software releases while serving as an important liaison between stakeholders, technical teams, and the software vendor.

What You'll Do

User Acceptance Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for software upgrades and new releases.
  • Utilize pre-defined test scripts to validate system functionality.
  • Document testing results and successful test completion in SharePoint.
  • Identify, track, and document software defects and issues.
  • Submit and manage tickets in Jira when issues or bugs are identified.
  • Accurately assess and communicate defect severity.
  • Review testing approaches, conditions, and scenarios to ensure thorough coverage.
  • Follow quality standards and testing best practices throughout the testing process.
Product Analysis & Documentation

  • Analyze the functional impact of software enhancements and system changes.
  • Participate in product design reviews to verify quality standards and functional requirements are met.
  • Perform impact analyses for system fixes and enhancements.
  • Make recommendations for product improvements and future enhancements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation in SharePoint for historical reference and future projects.
  • Contribute to training materials and documentation updates related to system changes.
Product Support & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Provide basic application support and answer product-related questions.
  • Support users both on-site and remotely as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the software vendor and technical stakeholders.
  • Communicate testing findings, defects, enhancement requests, and status updates clearly and professionally.
  • Help ensure effective communication, information sharing, and project organization throughout software release cycles.
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), software testing, quality assurance, or application support.
  • Experience using a ticketing system such as Jira.
  • Experience documenting work and maintaining records in SharePoint.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic system and application issues.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Jira or similar defect-tracking and ticketing platforms.
  • Experience supporting business applications or government systems.
  • Experience with software release testing and defect management.
  • Experience coordinating with software vendors and technical teams.
  • Project coordination or project management experience.

Pay Rate


$25.00-$35.00/hour
