Position Overview:In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will work alongside a diverse team to deliver exceptional care to patients. As a Physical Therapist on a PRN basis, your primary duty will be to provide both professional and technical physical therapy services to designated patients. This includes direct and indirect patient care, adhering to the Practice of Physical Therapy Act/Rules, which encompasses evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, ongoing reassessment, and discharge planning.
Essential Job Requirements:- Availability for PRN and weekday shifts
- Graduation from an accredited baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate Physical Therapy program
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Valid Texas Physical Therapy License or Temporary License required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
- Maintain clear and open communication
- Foster relationships to encourage a collaborative atmosphere
- Take responsibility for your performance
- Continuously seek ways to enhance the patient experience
- Proactively pursue your professional development
- Engage actively in building a successful team
Our organization operates a 314-bed, comprehensive acute care teaching hospital that caters to the communities of Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and Glen Heights in southwestern Dallas County. We have recently expanded our emergency department by 40,000 square feet and have upgraded our intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, and interventional radiology suite. Our facility includes a Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Dr. Stephen and Marilyn Mansfield Oncology Unit. We have received accolades for our excellence in various medical fields, including cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, open heart surgery, STEMI care, stroke care, and joint replacements, among others.
