Mission Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own software solutions deployed to customers.
• Write code to improve products and scale mission capabilities to additional customers.
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
• Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring.
• Triage issues, determine root causes, and coordinate next steps.
• Partner with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
• Travel up to 25% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world environments.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Experience with programming languages such as Go, Rust, or Python.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis.
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and established codebases.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance.
• Preferred: 4+ years of professional industry experience.
• Preferred: experience developing software or hardware for safety-critical functionality.
• Preferred: familiarity with distributed communication networks and message standards.
