Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of experience in general X-ray procedures and operating surgical C-arms.
Details
- Works in acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, NICU, PICU, and operating room settings with adult and pediatric patients
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- On-call is voluntary, not required
- Performs portable/bedside procedures and C-arm cases in surgery
- Epic EMR experience required
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and PACS systems
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of X-ray technologist experience required
- ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
- Valid WA state license required in hand at time of submission; license required if applicable
- Experience with abdomen, chest, spine, pelvis, upper and lower extremity, and head imaging
- Experience with trauma cases for upper and lower extremities, shoulder, and spine
- Preferred experience with fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, and upper GI series
- Preferred experience in teaching hospitals, community hospitals, and Trauma Level I/II facilities
- Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, and contrast media preparation/administration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated for at least 3 months before qualifying for a travel assignment, and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a lower bill rate
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
