CVICU Registered Nurse

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to float among five hospitals based on staffing needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in cardiac care and have a passion for providing excellent patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients recovering from open heart surgery.
• Monitor and manage patients on life support systems such as balloon pumps and ECMO.
• Administer medications and treatment plans as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care.
• Document patient care and progress using the Epic charting system.
• Assist with procedures, managing and monitoring devices and equipment as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required.
• Experience with open heart recovery, balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella, and ECMO is essential.
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract.
• Current RN license in good standing is required.
