Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Acute Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day 5x8-Hour Shift (Tuesday - Saturday, 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM)

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with acute care experience to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have recent experience with Modified Barium Swallow studies and will be responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations for patients experiencing speech and language disorders.
• Implement treatment plans and provide therapy interventions for swallowing disorders.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and exercise techniques.
• Conduct Modified Barium Swallow studies and interpret results.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CCC-SLP and MBSImP certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system required.
• Must pass an EKG exam during compliance.
