As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Detection in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism and clear communication. You will contribute to a welcoming, orderly environment while delivering exceptional service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing government homelessness services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; communicate professionally and direct individuals to appropriate areas or resources.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, entry points, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and promptly communicate observations, hazards, and policy concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
