About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med-Surg) – Kansas**Start Date:** December 14, 2026 **Location:** Leawood, Kansas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 48 hours per week guaranteed; rotating every 3rd weekend; night shift available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)**Highlights:** - 32-bed Medical-Surgical unit specializing in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and general surgery - Patient ratios of 1:4 with TPC or 1:5-6 with PCT support - Collaborative team environment with charge nurse, RN colleagues, PCTs, and unit secretary support - EMR system: Meditech - Float rotation to Med/Tele and Surgical Specialty floors as needed - Day shift includes 6-8 RNs with dedicated support staff; night shift maintains similar staffing levels**Requirements:** - Active Kansas RN license or compact multi-state license - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - ACLS or PALS certification preferred - Basic Dysrhythmia class preferred - Experience with total joint replacements, complex spine care, complex neurosurgery cases, and general surgery highly valued - Strong teamwork skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced Medical-Surgical unit where teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of patient care.
