Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician in Gastonia, NC, is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing plant equipment and facilities. The role minimizes downtime by addressing mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing issues to ensure a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Repair & Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing failures, replacing or fixing defective parts like valves, pumps, motors, cylinders, and hoses.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and servicing to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
• System Installation: Assemble and install facility plumbing and piping systems, including drainage and water supply.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate work logs, report on needed repair materials, and strictly follow all safety and company regulations.
• Technical Reading: Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings to guide repairs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge: Strong, hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic principles, and plumbing codes.
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for long periods, work in varying conditions, and safely lift/move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
