Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives this year as an Occupational Therapist in a supportive educational environment near San Jose, CA! This part-time contract position starts as soon as possible and will continue through June 11, offering you the opportunity to work directly with learners at Piedmont Hills and McCollam Center.
You’ll be responsible for assessing students’ needs, developing individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress. This onsite role means you’ll be present within the school community, fostering relationships with staff, students, and families to create the best outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold or be eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California per the Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
- At least two years of clinical experience, focusing on pediatric therapy and developmental disabilities, ideally in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams and families to support student growth.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Must be available to work onsite; virtual or hybrid work is not an option for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and create individualized therapy goals and intervention plans.
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and families to maximize student participation and independence.
- Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations.
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of services provided.
