Position: Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Location: Bothell, WA

Job Description

The Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) position is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity serving an elderly patient population (age 62 and up). The primary focus will be on assisting healthcare providers in a primary care clinic setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong administrative skills, exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with outside facilities and physicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clinicians by performing standard medical assistant duties such as rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and preparing for procedures.
• Conduct various administrative tasks including chart preparation, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation (experience with EPIC preferred, but not required).
• Coordinate with outside providers to ensure seamless patient care and information sharing.
• Minimize hospital admissions and emergency department utilization through proactive patient care management.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license is required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong administrative experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to meet scheduling requirements and demonstrate punctuality.

Work Schedule

• Full-time: 40 hours/week
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
• No weekends or on-call duties required.

Additional Information

This role is geared towards candidates who are committed to patient care and are available for a permanent position at the conclusion of the contract, should an offer be extended. Candidates must resolve any scheduling conflicts prior to starting.
