Registered Nurse (RN) - Days Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

DAYS - 5 DAYS/8 HOURS

The Registered Nurse (RN) practices independently in a clinical setting and provides both routine and complex care, with a focus on long-range goals and management of clinical situations. Develops the ability to cope with contingencies and makes appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers.

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.

Administers medications and treatments according to protocols; monitors for side effects and effectiveness.

Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.

Works to assess learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

BLS Certification required.

Chemotherapy certification required.

RN License in state of employment or compact required.
