About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Circulating)

Location

Newburgh, IN (with floating to Evansville, IN – approximately 8 miles apart)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – 4x10-hour shifts, variable start times (0600–0900), Monday–Friday with possible weekends as needed. On-call required 1x/week and every 6th weekend with a 30-minute response time.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating RN duties in the operating room across general, orthopedic, vascular, and neurological surgical cases
• Float between two campuses based on skillset and patient volume needs, with the possibility of mid-shift floating
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in on-call rotation including weeknight and weekend call coverage as scheduled
• Adapt to variable surgical schedules and case types while maintaining high standards of patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or valid Compact RN license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• Demonstrated experience with neurological surgical cases
• Proficiency with Epic charting system

• Experience with orthopedic trauma and vascular surgical cases
• Ability to manage change effectively and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
