Electronics & Integration/Test Technicians

Pay: $40-$50/hr, depending on experience

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm, M-F

We're seeking a highly skilled Advanced Systems Technician to join a fast-paced, prototype-driven engineering team developing next-generation hardware systems. This role combines electrical assembly, mechanical integration, fluid systems, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and testing into one hands-on position with significant ownership and visibility.

You'll work side-by-side with engineers to build, integrate, debug, and validate complex electrical and mechanical systems in demanding environments. From wiring harnesses and control panels to pressure systems, instrumentation, and test infrastructure, you'll play a critical role in turning concepts into field-ready hardware.

Responsibilities

• Build, wire, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and cable assemblies
• Assemble and wire control panels, PLC cabinets, and industrial electrical equipment
• Perform soldering, PCBA rework, and fine-pitch component repairs
• Assemble mechanical, fluid, and pressure systems including valves, tubing, piping, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers
• Install sensors, instrumentation, controls, and data acquisition hardware
• Execute tubing and piping integration including routing, cutting, bending, and fitting
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and system validation
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and integration issues during build and test activities
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, assembly documentation, and P&IDs
• Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve system issues
• Support system bring-up, integration, and testing alongside engineering teams
• Identify design, reliability, fit-up, or tolerance issues and recommend practical improvements
• Perform basic fabrication and modification work including drilling, cutting, mounting, and assembly support
• Maintain accurate build records, labeling, documentation, and traceability requirements
• Help establish clean, organized, and scalable lab and shop processes
• Maintain a safe working environment while operating high-pressure and high-temperature systems

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly, electronics, mechanical integration, fluid systems, testing, or a related technical role
• Experience building and troubleshooting complex electrical and/or mechanical systems
• Strong understanding of wiring, connectors, crimping, grounding, shielding, and cable management
• Experience with soldering and electronic assembly techniques
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and P&IDs
• Experience using test and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Experience with system validation, troubleshooting, pressure testing, or leak detection
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality
• Ability to operate independently in a rapidly changing prototype environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-pressure, thermal, industrial, marine, subsea, aerospace, energy, or other high-reliability systems
• Familiarity with industrial controls, PLCs, sensors, and data acquisition systems
• Experience with Swagelok fittings, tubing systems, and fluid system best practices
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation and troubleshooting
• Orbital tube welding or other high-reliability welding experience
• Manual machining or light fabrication experience (lathe, mill, drill press, etc.)
• HVAC or refrigeration system experience
• Experience supporting custom test infrastructure and engineering laboratories
• Familiarity with quality, traceability, and documentation standards in regulated or high-reliability environments

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
