Job Summary This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. It is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those new to federal service. Non-federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Responsibilities Participates in developing radiation safety policies and procedures for the organization. Reviews, advises, and provides guidance on the full range of radiation safety matters related to the organization. Advise on all physical, mechanical, electrical, computer, automation and radiation safety aspects. Oversee and analyze quality control testing of radiation equipment, detecting and measuring equipment. Perform all required studies, testing and analysis of imagery acquisition and delivery systems to ensure they are functioning at optimum level. Investigate malfunctions and operational difficulties and formulate solutions and corrective actions.
