Senior Tax Manager

Senior Tax Manager (hybrid) We are engaged in a search for a Tax Manager for a prominent corporation here in the Irvine area. The company holds a leading competitive position and is very stable. Primary responsibilities will include US domestic tax, maintenance of the corporate tax calendar, tax research, a bit of International tax and preparing technical memorandums. Responsibilities Scope will encompass Federal & State consolidated income tax returns, quarterly estimates, extensions, calculating taxable income and other related adjustments and disclosures. Preparation of all US and state income tax filings and reports, preparation of GAAP reporting under ASC 740, communication with tax officials on audits and related activities, and research and analysis of tax issues. The Corporate Tax Manager supervises a staff member and is responsible for ensuring that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. Contact with senior management, domestic management and shareholders, requiring strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills. Tax related research, compliance, SOX compliance, and reconciliation. Prepare and review work papers, prepare extensions and payments. Oversight of sales & use, property, and excise tax. Qualifications Experience from a larger CPA firm, CPA license required. Excellent communication and analytical skills are a must. Benefits Competitive salary with bonus and strong benefits.
