This position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while collaborating with a supportive and professional team. Our outpatient office atmosphere encourages flexible work schedules and set hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This format promotes a healthy work-life balance and allows you to focus your energy entirely on providing exceptional care to your clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct detailed evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms, ensuring comprehensive understanding of their condition.

  • Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their personal goals, preferences, and unique challenges.

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients navigate their mental health journeys.

  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and treatment options, fostering an open dialogue around self-care strategies.

  • Monitor client progress through regular assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure they align with the client's evolving needs.

  • Coordinate care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to streamline the treatment process and integrate additional support into client care.

  • Engage in ongoing research and training to stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder treatment, thereby enhancing therapeutic efficacy.

  • Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of client records, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights and strategies to improve client care.

  • Advocate for clients, particularly those facing stigma in mental health, ensuring their voices are heard and needs are met.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Eastern Valley Health Clinic, your client focus will include individuals experiencing various mood disorders, especially those dealing with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also engage with vulnerable groups such as the homeless population, survivors of domestic violence, and refugees, utilizing a trauma-informed approach to therapy that recognizes their unique backgrounds and challenges.

  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

  • A master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
