As a Speech Language Pathologist in the beautiful community of Gilbert, Arizona, your role transcends standard practices; you will be a beacon of hope for those struggling with communication and swallowing challenges. Through your expertise, you will empower children taking their first steps in language and seniors on their quest to regain independence and confidence.
This position offers an extraordinary chance to make a difference across diverse populations and age groups—from vibrant children to wise seniors. Here, you can blend outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support, tailoring your practice to your passions. Whether your heart leans toward helping toddlers with their first words, guiding adults through neurogenic communication issues, or offering cognitively focused rehabilitation for the elderly, your work will be fulfilling and impactful.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric backgrounds, employing standardized assessments along with keen observational skills.
Craft customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
Facilitate individualized speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
Partner with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to construct unified care approaches.
Provide educational resources to patients and their families to support progress during off-therapy time.
Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, promoting continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
Ensure precise and prompt documentation that adheres to all relevant state, federal, and organizational procedures.
Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and teamwork.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
CCC-SLP certification from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for a wide array of ages, combined with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Capability to modify therapy techniques to respect and respond to varied cultural and linguistic needs.
Solid clinical judgment coupled with adept problem-solving skills.
Familiarity and proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation standards.
Competitive salary based on experience.
Flexible schedules designed for an ideal work-life balance and diverse caseloads.
Chance to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans available.
Support for continued education and professional growth.
A nurturing team-oriented workplace focused on high-quality care and lifelong learning.
A Path of Meaning and Growth Awaits
In your capacity as a Speech Language Pathologist, you will not only impart therapy but will also become an integral part of a community dedicated to rekindling voices, enhancing communication, and finding joy in the simplest, yet profound, act of sharing understanding.
