Cashier / Person in Charge (PIC)
Plaza Market – 203 Center St E, Eatonville, WA 98328

Plaza Market is looking for a dependable, friendly, and motivated team member to join us as a Cashier/PIC. This position combines excellent customer service with responsibility for supervising store operations during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
Accurately operate the cash register and handle payments
Follow all procedures for alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and other age-restricted sales
Supervise employees and coordinate breaks during assigned shifts
Assist with opening and closing the store
Keep registers, counters, and customer areas clean and organized
Stock merchandise and ensure shelves are neat and properly faced
Respond professionally to customer questions and concerns
Monitor store safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures
Communicate important issues to store management
Complete shift reports, cash counts, and other assigned paperwork

Qualifications

Previous cashier, grocery, retail, or supervisory experience is preferred
Honest, dependable, punctual, and responsible
Strong customer-service and communication skills
Comfortable handling cash and leading employees
Able to work independently and make responsible decisions
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must meet all legal requirements for selling age-restricted products
