Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $1,979 per week

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Thornton, Colorado.

About the unit: Pod A is a recent expansion, opened 1/24/19 and consists of 12 beds. Pod B (on the second floor) contains 16 beds.

• Number of Beds - 28
• Number of Staff – 42
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 charge, number of nurses depends on census/acuity, critical care tech staffed 6 days a week, 0900-2100
  • Night Shift - 1 charge, number of nurses depends on census/acuity, critical care tech staffed 6 days a week, 0900-2100
• Patient Ratios – Typically 1:2, can be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity
• Type of equipment –Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, Sub Zero
• EMR - Meditech

Must have :

• Minimum of 2 year current acute care hospital ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS & NIH certifications

Preferred or nice to have :

• TNCC
• Meditech experience

Typical procedures performed on unit: 

• Neuro surgical, Trauma (level III, going to level II this year), cardiac arrest, resp arrest, ETOH/Drug WD, all vented patients come to the ICU at our facility.
