Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing high-acuity diagnoses including respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, hematology/oncology, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attempt cases
• Operate and monitor patients on ventilators, CRRT, and ECMO; administer and manage inotropic drips as required
• Float to the NICU as required to meet facility needs; float to the Pediatric ED for admitted patient assignments when patients are being held
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to weekend shift expectations: expected 5 weekend shifts per schedule for night shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights considered weekends)
• Participate in rotating shift scheduling across the duration of the contract as directed by unit needs

• Active RN License in New Mexico (pending licensure may be considered at time of submission)
• BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• PALS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1.5 years of PICU or relevant RN experience
• Influenza vaccination required
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Hands-on experience with CRRT and ECMO procedures
• Experience managing ventilated patients, including the ability to care for up to 2 intubated patients simultaneously when needed
• Working knowledge of inotropic drip management
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus
