Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement PLC systems for various automated systems used in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and technical requirements.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, and other industrial automation components.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of PLC systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production and maintenance teams.
• Maintain documentation for all PLC programming and related technical processes.
• Monitor the performance of automated systems and suggest improvements as needed.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
• Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).- Rockwell, GE or Siemens
• Proficient in industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
• Familiarity with industrial control systems and automation technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams. Ability to draft in AutoCAD Electrical
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desired Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs from major manufacturers (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Project management experience is a plus.
