RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I (WI Virtual) Zurich is looking for an RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team in Wisconsin. The incumbent will work from a home-based office and will spend approximately 50% of the time traveling to cover the territory. The ideal candidate must live and serve within a 100-mile area of Shawano, Oconto, and Marinette counties. Responsibilities Complete field inspections and related responsibilities, such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, and storage bins, and discuss findings of crop loss with farmers on complex, non-routine, problematic claims including controversial claims. Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry partners regarding claim situations. Perform fact-finding regarding crop damage, record information, and transmit loss data to accurately determine potential indemnities. Gather relevant facts, utilizing applicable law and establishing basic principles of negligence. Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned. Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area. Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire. Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the territory. Valid Driver’s License. Physical ability to walk up to 3 miles in agricultural fields, climb storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25‑50 lbs., and work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organization and prioritization skills. Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster. Compensation and Benefits The hourly range for this position is $22.40‑$30.87, plus a short-term incentive bonus of 5%. Additional bonuses and merit increases may be available based on performance.
