The Maintenance Coach is responsible for leading daily maintenance operations that support production equipment, powered industrial equipment, and facility systems within the Door Shops operation. This role drives equipment reliability, safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance through effective maintenance execution while developing a high-performing team. The Maintenance Coach ensures optimal staffing, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties

· Demonstrate professionalism and a positive, team-focused attitude

· Lead and develop maintenance technicians and mechanics

· Schedule, prioritize, and assign preventive and reactive maintenance activities

· Manage labor and maintenance resources to ensure productivity and efficiency

· Drive equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

· Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions

· Monitor maintenance performance metrics and develop improvement plans

· Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety

standards

· Manage preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and maintenance records

· Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements

· Manage maintenance parts inventory and coordinate contractor support as needed

· Communicate and collaborate with Operations Coaches and Team Leads to align maintenance

priorities with production needs

· Monitor attendance, performance, accountability, and development of maintenance team

members

· Troubleshoot equipment failures and support root cause analysis activities

· Coordinate training and cross-training opportunities for maintenance personnel

· Maintain accurate maintenance reporting and system documentation

· Operate equipment and maintain required certifications as needed

· Support operational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost

· Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Essential Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

· Strong leadership and team development skills

· Advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and troubleshooting knowledge

· Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands

· Experience managing maintenance work orders, PM programs, and equipment records

· Understanding of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial safety practices

· Proficiency in computer systems and production tracking tools

· Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
