L/S Investment Analyst, TMT

We are working with an established investment firm looking to hire an Investment Analyst to join its Long/Short Equity team, focusing on the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector.

The role offers the opportunity to conduct in-depth fundamental research, develop differentiated investment ideas, and contribute directly to portfolio decisions within a research-driven investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research and financial analysis across TMT companies.
• Identify attractive long and short investment opportunities through detailed company and industry analysis.
• Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, and earnings forecasts.
• Analyze company fundamentals, competitive positioning, industry trends, and key investment catalysts.
• Develop differentiated investment theses and present actionable recommendations to the investment team.
• Monitor portfolio holdings, earnings releases, and relevant market developments.
• Engage with company management teams, industry experts, and other market participants as part of the research process.

Requirements

• Experience in equity research or investment analysis, ideally within a fundamental long/short equity strategy.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental analysis.
• Exposure to TMT, including software, internet, semiconductors, hardware, media, or telecommunications.
• Demonstrated ability to generate independent investment ideas and communicate a clear investment thesis.
• Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
