Position Summary

Amber Health Care is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable experienced Medical Assistant to join our growing adult and pediatric healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service to patients while supporting the daily operations of our medical office.

Medical Assistant :

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care while maintaining efficient operations within the facility.

The Medical Assistant will perform clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting under the supervision of a physician/nurse practitioner. Duties may include venipuncture, medication and vaccine administration, measurement, and documentation of vital signs, and assisting providers with patient exams, and telephone and clerical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
• Support healthcare providers in the clinical setting.
• Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient service and improve overall healthcare delivery.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to effectively assist in patient assessments.
• Perform select clinical duties.
• Prepare treatment room for examination of patients.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing (as a back-up to the medical receptionist).
• Perform basic material management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
