Job Description Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with clients to aid in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment. This includes: assessment, individualized attention, coordination, career coaching, and development of individualized employment and career advancement plans. Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up to support job retention, career progression, and achievement of long-term employment goals. Conduct new customer orientation including introduction to career pathway opportunities, in-demand industries, and H2/H3 employment goals. Help to ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract, with an emphasis on placement into sustainable employment and career advancement opportunities. Facilitate all professional development workshops focused on job readiness, career exploration, advancement strategies, and preparation for high-demand occupations. Ensure participants follow through with planned activities as outlined in contract with funding agency and progress toward identified career pathway and employment objectives. Provide individualized assessment of work, provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed, and identify training or credentialing opportunities that support career advancement and access to H2/H3 occupations. Document all participant contacts and activities in case notes and ensure that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contract, including tracking career progression and retention outcomes. Create solutions to participant attendance problems and address barriers impacting participation in training, employment, and career advancement activities. Manage programs, including the coordination of introductory workshops, the facilitation of weekly workshops, the issuance of grants in accordance with predetermined allocation targets, and collection of placement data related to employment outcomes, career pathway enrollment, and advancement metrics. Manage the programmatic offerings of the Center's job preparation workshops to ensure a business-driven curriculum, a high quality of presentation, a satisfactory participation rate, clear messaging of next steps, and a tangible output that prepares participants for employment in high-growth, high-demand industries and occupations. Work collaboratively with the business services team to identify which jobs are available, what qualifications are needed, and which workshops and trainings can best prepare jobseekers for these positions, with a focus on H2/H3 employment opportunities and career pathway alignment. Develop and maintain a standard communication plan to keep staff aware of center-wide issues and their role in meeting operational goals and advancing participant employment and career development outcomes. Participate in activities including training, capacity building, and professional development to maintain expertise in labor market trends, career coaching practices, and workforce development strategies. Assist in the intake services for the Center, including assessment of participant skills, interests, career goals, and readiness for H2/H3 opportunities. Qualifications Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require A working knowledge of MS Office Two years of experience in career advisement and development, case management, customer service, or similar role assisting individuals Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts Demonstrated telephone, computer, and strong written and verbal communication skills Type a minimum of 35 WPM Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to thrive in environments with multiple stakeholders, frequent change, and diverse objectives Professional understanding of a vast array of occupations and career paths Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, communications and/or 2 yrs relevant experience in human service, people helping, customer service-related fields Additional Information All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
