#WeAreIn for jobs that impact everyone's life.Build the future nobody’s dreamed of yet... are you ready to rethink the impossible?As a Principal Product Definition Engineer in our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life.Are you in?Your roleKey responsibilities in your new role Define new power management and power stage productsTranslate customer needs into clear product requirementsCreate product specifications, roadmaps, and datasheet inputsEngage customers to understand future platform needsGuide technical tradeoffs with design, packaging, applications, and validation teamsTrack market trends, competitors, and product gapsSupport product launch, sampling, and customer adoptionYour profileQualifications and skills to help you succeed Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred8+ years of experience in semiconductor product development, power electronics, applications engineering, system architecture, or product definitionStrong understanding of DC-DC converters, multiphase voltage regulators, integrated power stages, power MOSFET technologies, and AI/datacenter power delivery architectures Experience interpreting customer and system-level requirements and translating them into product specificationsAbility to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional engineering teamsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsFamiliarity with power stage performance metrics, including efficiency, switching losses, thermal performance, current sensing, and protection featuresExperience defining semiconductor products from concept through productionKnowledge of Intel VR, AMD SVI3, PMBus, telemetry, and server power architecturesExperience with competitive benchmarking and roadmap planningInfineon Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
