Float Pool Unit

Our Float Pool unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member.

Patient Population: ED Holds, Observation, Acute Care Units, Ortho, Oncology, and PCU

Patient Ratios: Ratios are based on unit floated to; Ranges from 4-5:1

Department Specifics: The expectation of caregivers in Float pool is to be able to provide care for a broad range of patients. A Float Pool caregiver may work with critical care patients in the Step Down unit, provide care for Med/Surg or work in Observation or Holding units. Opportunity to be consistently challenged and increase skills and knowledge, greater exposure to various departments, and viewed as a valuable resource with a skillset that provides support to multiple departments.

Qualifications

• You should have graduated from an accredited program in nursing
• The main area of study in your education should be nursing.
• Three years of experience in nursing is required.
• You need to be a registered nurse
• Have basic life support (BLS) certification or get it within 30 days of starting.
