About this position: Shipping Specialist Location - Fairbanks, AK

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating load shipments while overseeing trucking operations
• Transporting crushed rock, sand, gravel, broken concrete, debris, broken asphalt, etc. to and from specified locations. Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that materials are loaded
• Inspect Trucks/Tractors/Trailers before and after every trip or as required by management
• Maintain accurate driver logs

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

• Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License

• Five years+ experience with driving a truck and trailer

• Level of Experience Requirements: Must have a valid Medical Examiners Certificate - must pass DOT physical
• Good Driving Record
• Proven Experience operating tractor/trailers, dump trucks, walking floor trailers, etc.
• Working Knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• US Citizen
• Must be able to work 8 to 12-hour workdays, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
