Associate Packer

Position Overview As an Associate Packer, you will be responsible for packing products in a timely manner consistent with the department’s safety, quality and production goals. This position reports directly to the Department Manager and is supported by the department’s Team Lead(s). The position works 1st Shift: Monday through Thursday 5:00am – 3:30pm with overtime as needed. Responsibilities Ensure that the packing schedule is followed to satisfy the needs of our customers. (90%) Ensure that all quality issues are directly reported to the department lead. (5%) Ensure that the immediate work area remains clean to avoid any safety related issues. (5%) Desired Skills and Experience High School Diploma or GED (preferred) Attendance: able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance. Speaking: able to effectively communicate in group settings and one-on-one, with all departments and at all levels within the organization. Effectively communicate between shifts to ensure departmental goals are achieved. Measurements: able to read a tape measure to 1/32” tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree, micrometers, calipers. Physical Requirements and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment. The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts. Travel Required This job requires no domestic travel. Work Status & Location This full‑time, non‑exempt position is in Gallatin, TN. Relocation Relocation is not available for this position.
