Certified Medical Assistant at West Coast Wound Austin, Texas, United States - Full Time Description West Coast Wound and Skin Care is looking to hire a Medical Assistant to be out in the field! Must be willing to drive within the Austin, TX area. The Field MA is responsible for administering ultrasound therapy to patients in their respective homes 5 days a week, as well as materials management, scribing, performing chart checks, and coordinating skin sweeps one day per week. Responsible for obtaining data/metrics to facilitate our financial analysis of hiring for expansion and growth. Essential Job Functions Perform ultrasound therapy on wound patients. Order medical supplies. Scribe for respective doctors. Prepare patients for procedures. Perform chart checks for evaluation of stalled wounds for existing patients. Coordinate skin sweep scheduling. Scribe for skin sweeps. Make Initial Assessment calls. Skills Ultrasound Therapy Materials Management Scribing Chart Checks Patient Care Medical Terminology Customer Service Organization Interpersonal Skills Clinical Management Qualifications Valid MA Certification 1-2 years of clinical management/medical experience preferred Excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills Strong awareness of medical terminology Strong desire for patient care Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Structure (1099) Guaranteed base pay of $810 per week. Base is calculated at $27 per patient visit for a minimum of 6 patients per day. $27 per additional patient visit for any visits beyond the daily base. Responsibilities The Field MA administers ultrasound therapy to wound patients in their homes and manages materials and scribing.
