General Operator

Our client, an industry leader in agricultural production, is seeking a dedicated General Operator to join their team. As a General Operator, you will be part of the production operations supporting seasonal crop management and seed processing activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Operator

Location: New Madrid, MO

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift: Monday–Thursday
Hours: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Night Shift Premium: Additional $2.00/hour for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM 

What's the Job?

• Receive and process trucks hauling crop from the field for weighing and unloading.
• Complete a wide range of harvest activities, including combine cleaning.
• Supply the Conditioning department with a consistent supply of seed.
• Apply appropriate treatments to seed to ensure quality standards.
• Label, tag, bag, and palletize seed, and enter inventory information into the computer system.

What's Needed?

• Knowledge of production agriculture and plant operations.
• Ability to perform duties safely and efficiently while maintaining seed quality.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing seasonal tasks and conditions.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds, and work outdoors on uneven surfaces.
