Surgical Unit Specialist

What We Offer Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with one rotating 4:30 AM - 1:00 PM shift per week. Location: Rowan Medical Center - Salisbury, NC; at 266 beds, Rowan is Novant's 4th largest hospital and has been serving the area since 1936. This role is ideal for a CNA looking to work in a fast paced pre and post surgical environment with a high-performing, collaborative team. A dynamic full-time opportunity with exposure to a range of patient populations Work/life balance with no weekends, holidays, or call Access to continuing education and leadership support Inclusive culture grounded in teamwork, trust, and shared purpose What You’ll Do Answer incoming calls to pre-op department Call patients scheduled for surgeries/procedures the next day to confirm details and inform them of arrival time Keep patients updated with any changes to scheduling Average call volume is 50 calls/day Assist CNA and RN staff pre and post surgery by taking vitals and transporting patients If employee is a CNA will also remove IVs and assist with ADLs What We’re Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. CNA license and training is strongly preferred. Experience: CNA experience is preferred. One year experience in a healthcare setting, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Basic computer skills, customer service in a high pace environment and strong interpersonal relationship skills.
