Position Overview The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire an Office Associatefor the Chester Mental Health Center located in Chester, Illinois to perform a varietyof complex specialized keyboarding and clerical functions for the Worker’s CompensationCoordinator and other facility departments. Gathers documents pertaining to service-connectedinjuries for review by the Worker’s Compensation Coordinator. Inputs all inventorieditems from requisitions, items received as recorded on receiving reports and costadjustments for received items. Utilizes a personal computer or typewriter to keyboard/typegeneral correspondence, reports, etc. to Serves as back-up to the various businessoffice departments. Sorts all incoming facility mail. Essential Functions Performs a variety of complex specialized keyboarding and clerical functionsfor the facility. Inputs all inventory items from requisitions. Utilizes a personal computer or typewriter to keyboard/type general correspondence,reports, etc. Serves as back-up to the payroll/timekeeping office with various functionsin areas of Personnel Services, including employee schedules. Sorts all incoming facility mail. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably withinthe scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completionof high school. Requires two (2) years of office experience. Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm. Conditions of Employment Requires ability to utilize commonly used manual and automated office equipment. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
