Job description

This person will promote and support the store’s reputation of high-quality footwear and customer service, while working to build relationships with our loyal customers. Position reports to the Store Manager.

Job duties and responsibilities:

· o Measure and fit every customer properly using our proprietary Ultimate Fit Experience.

o Explain product features and benefits, as well as technical specifications

o Suggest appropriate accessories and care products with every footwear purchase

o Enter customer information and sales into our POS, process payments, balance cash drawer

·Generate Industrial Sales Leads and manage relationships with existing Industrial Customers.

· Maintain the integrity of the sales floor presentation the stockroom organization, store signage, and housekeeping standards

· Balance cash drawer and make deposits.

. Open and close the store as requested.

· Learn over time how to perform basic but essential repair work on our footwear

· Build collaborative relationships between yourself and key people with whom you’ll work or interact with; Red Wing field team/business partners, fellow store associates.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

· Retail store

· Must be available some evenings during the week until 8pm and some weekend hours

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 2 years retail sales experience, required
• Results oriented
• Effective Written/Verbal Communication
• Knowledge and comfort with technology and Microsoft Office programs

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES:

• Retail Footwear experience
• Profit and loss knowledge
• Naturally curious, has passion for new ideas, and looks to drive growth
• Problem solving

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders without issue, and fit/lace customers while standing and/or while sitting

· Housekeeping duties - Including but not limited to; vacuuming, mopping, washing windows and setting up and maintaining displays

PAY :

We are offering an hourly salary range of $17-19 based on experience. We will also offer an annual bonus based on performance vs targets. In addition, after training is completed, you will become eligible for commission on the sale of accessories and footbeds. Commission is not capped, and you can make your pay what you want.
