REGISTERED NURSE - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (FT DAYS)

Job Title

Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the direct patient care and program implementation for residents/patients in the acute care and residential programs.

Assess the patients/residents needs and coordinate/implement the delivery of quality nursing care, as prescribed by the Treatment Team / Physician.

Provide safety and crisis management for the patient populations, and assure a safe and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience of nursing care and interventions with psychiatric patients.

Knowledgeable of the psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and psychiatric diagnoses.

Ability to direct others in the delivery of services, organize multiple tasks at one time, and problem solve situations under a fast paced environment.

Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures.

Ability to delegate responsibility to others and assure completion of shift duties.

Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages, and work as a member of a treatment team.

Experience/Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. CPR certification is also required.

Must be licensed in the State of Colorado or hold a current compact license.
