Process Engineering Manager

Job TitleJob DescriptionPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)Resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.Coach and manage Process Engineers in developing and improving the manufacturing processes, procedures, and flow diagram for server and rack products.Provide leadership for manufacturing engineers and responsible for their training and development.Drive projects to improve process reliability, process flow, quality & FPY, improve productivity, and reduce operational cycle times and costs.Owner for creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods and procedures.Provide resources/labor and production capacity analysis.Provide feedback on requirements and needs to meet production schedule.Evaluate and approve manufacturing infrastructure needs and costs.Review, evaluate, and approve change orders.Work with NPI team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the introduction processes, documents, material preparations, and tooling/fixtures through the following activities:WO BOM ValidationShop Floor Control System RoutingProduction Flow DiagramCreate, validate, and maintain Work InstructionsPack Out InstructionsAccountable for Change Order Management including:Assess, document and communicate all production floor and/or customer driven changes.Initiate and follow up with ECN/MCO changes and disposition.Update all applicable work instructions.Implement ECO/MCO changes in production; provide training to line operators.Education and Work ExperienceBS degree in Industrial/Manufacturing EngineeringMinimum of 3 years' work experience in manufacturing engineering management roleStrong background in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and operational optimization.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesIn-depth product manufacturing comprehension including rationales and limitationsExpert working knowledge of manufacturing systemsDemonstrated knowledge of Lean philosophies and experienced in practicing those applicationsAnalytical and problem-solving skills6 Sigma Green Belt certified, Black Belt is a plusCompute and/or Network server/rack manufacturing experience is a plusEffective in project management, time management, and delegationJob Complexity and SupervisionTypically manages multiple departments and/or shiftsComfortable in a fast-moving business and team environmentExcellent communication skills—written and verbalAttention to detail and processSelf-starter and highly motivatedWorking ConditionsFlexibility to travel to other internal and external sites, as needed (Domestic & International).Fast paced work environmentCertain areas are considered loud work environments and will require ear protection.Physical DemandsExtensive use of computer equipment, and frequent telephone activity.Periods of extended sitting, walking, and standing are required.Activities such as bending and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.Employees must be physically capable of completing and satisfying all training requirements as stipulated by Company policy.Additional CommentsSchedule: 8-hour shift (flexibility to work longer shifts if needed)Monday to Friday, with weekend availability opportunities.What's in it for youBenefit InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Health Savings Account (HSA)Mental Health Care401K with matchPaid Holidays, Vacation & Sick DaysTuition ReimbursementPerks at WorkLEAP ProgramMyFlexPayCompany PolicyWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status.
