Henry Ford Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dependable
Dietary Aide to join our Nutrition Services team. In this role, you will support patient care by preparing, assembling, and delivering nutritious meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer service.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service, dietary, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications
- ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, required

Acadia Healthcare and Henry Ford Health have partnered to develop, build, and operate a state-of-the-art, two-story behavioral health hospital in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
Henry Ford Behavioral Health Hospital is committed to expanding access to high-quality psychiatric care and addressing the growing behavioral health needs of the Greater Detroit Metro area. Our modern, thoughtfully designed facility supports holistic healing with contemporary amenities, six outdoor therapeutic spaces, and a calming environment that promotes wellness for both patients and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform routine tasks related to clean up and sanitation of kitchen, dining or serving areas.
- Properly prepare, serve and store food in accordance with facility policies.
- Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
- Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menu.
- Utilize service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
- Understand and apply the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
- Adhere to menu compliance, special diet compliance and report any dietary non-compliance, concern or complaint of patients to dietician, supervisor or manager.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, required.
